War Shirt and Leggings
Crow (Apsáalooke), 19th Century
Previously owned by Shot in the Hand, also known as Maohpish, a respected 19th century warrior. Born around 1841, he belonged to the Whistle Water clan and lived in the Yellowstone River region of Montana. He was also a prominent member of the Fox military society.

Includes period tag inscribed by Robinson, “Crow War Suit. Belonged to Shot-in-the-Hand. Dead about 6 yrs. He was 104 years when he died. He a Gov. scout & soldier at Fort Custer. Got metal for saving soldier (see leggings).”
